Norton Collar Lund Lilly, PLLC is pleased to announce Robert Maxell “Max” Lanning, CPA promotion to Partner effective January 1, 2024.
“Max began his professional career with the firm in 2014. He is a tremendous asset to the firm and the community,” said Managing Partner Jon Lund, CPA. “We look forward to the many ways he will pursue his positive impact with clients, our team, and the profession.”

Max is an accomplished financial accountant with years of experience serving a variety of small-to-medium-sized businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and individual tax clients. His focus is running the assurance and not-for-profit tax compliance sections of our firm.
- Max is a double graduate of North Carolina State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2013 and a Master of Accounting in 2014.
- He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA).
- Max serves as a volunteer with the NC Center for Nonprofits as a CPA professional providing financial guidance to not-for-profits with limited resources on a pro-bono basis.
- He currently sits on the Board as Vice President and Treasurer of a local nonprofit, You Call this Yoga.
